ReplyDeleteI don't believe that's entirely true—I know some heavy guys in happy relationships (and even a few heavy guys in happy relationships with slim and/or muscular guys).
...But unfortunately even if it's not entirely true, it's still largely true, which is why I'm doing my darnedest to lose some weight (with reasonable success so far).
Best of luck to you (either in losing whatever weight you want to lose or in finding a sweet guy who doesn't care if you're a few pounds over "ideal").
My partner and I were both overweight (he more than me) when we started dating. Our love for each other was more important than anything, and our weight didn't factor into it at all.
ReplyDeleteI always hated that stupid phrase, "You just have to stop looking for love--then, it will find you" whenever some moron said it to me. It thoroughly annoyed me. Unfortunately, it turned out to be true...for me, at least.
Some people are superficial and will reject others based on petty things like weight. Fortunately, those are the people you don't want to end up with anyway.

Andy, I don't know you but I can see your photo on your blog. You are beautiful. Your eyes are amazing. Being gay is tough. It's not the only challenge that many of face. You are enough just the way you are. Believe in yourself as worthy of love and a partner. It will happen. Be true to yourself and it will happen. Regards, Brad
