yikes! Are you still at BYU? I post lots of pro gay stuff, but I haven't officially said that I am gay on facebook. Not that I care who knows. Maybe October 11th is a good time.
If you are comfortable with it, I say go for it. I did it last year and I was surprised by some of the positive responses I got from family members who knew that I was gay, but were afraid to talk to me about it. It was a good experience, for the most part
Gosh, you guys...I just don't know. I'd like to come out officially on Facebook, but then...well...there is the whole BYU thing...hmmmm...I guess I need to think about it some more.

ReplyDeleteDon't come out while you're at BYU. That will be more trouble than it's worth. But afterwards, GO FOR IT!!
ReplyDeleteI did it two years ago. There was only one semi-negative response, and it really wasn't that bad either.
