What is Up?

I don't know about you, but I've noticed a great decline of blog postings in the MOHO community lately. I have subscribed to lots of blogs, but only a very small handful seem to actually post things on a regular basis. Traffic on my blog has gone considerably down, and the number of comments on others' blogs and my own has retracted as well.

Does anyone know what could be causing this strange abandonment of the MOHO blogosphere? Perhaps, all those who I follow, and all those who comment on my blog, have somehow found their true loves and spend all their time doing much more productive things with them rather than posting on their blog.

The perfectionist and people pleaser in me wants to shout, "It was me! Something that I said or did is making gay Mormon bloggers stop posting." Alas, I know I'm not that popular, so that's not the reason :)

I just hope everyone is doing okay. Maybe the lack of Spring has riddled everyone with a fear of an endless Winter that they cannot move their fingers fast enough to type for they are frozen.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on?

P.S. It could be my insanely strange MS Paint art that I keep posting...hmmm...

  1. I have actually wondered the same thing... I assumed it was the warm weather. People are playing outside?

  2. I, too, have wondered. And I also speculated about spring being a factor in my latest blog of today, even if it has been a cold one so far. Thanks for speaking up. I'm glad to know I'm not alone.

  4. We are in the middle of a generational transition of sorts. The 1st wave have basically found their way in life. The 2nd wave are either not really aware of the blog world yet, or not at the stages we've been through yet. Also, there is no current situation such as Proposition 8, which sparked a massive blog creation frenzy.

  5. I have been out in my yard cleaning it up and getting my garden ready to plant. Also, I have friends from the Netherlands here for a visit and we have been out site seeing. So it's not you, I am sure the posters will return once spring is over and the hot summer begins.

  6. I detached my blog from the MoHo blogosphere, setting up a different site address, because I was kind of sick of the tone on most blogs, not yours, but a lot of the blogs were so self-pitying, like they were content to forever stay in a state of conflict, never progressing in one way or another...anyways, that's why you haven't seen any posts come through from me.

  7. You have clearly never seen "Two girls, one cup"...because let me tell you...not one was wearing a skirt.
Also, I think it was you.
I can't speak for the gay community but I haven't been posting as much as I have been either...and it is mostly because I have gotten busier and warmer. Come winter we will all be back to typing to try and keep our fingers warm.

  10. Reina-Traffic for the company I work for has also gone down. Perhaps it is the summer weather?

Ned-we think alike. We must be twins.

LDSBrother-we must create a new conspiracy or something that the whole blogging world can talk about. We must!

Bror-from the Netherlands? Did they make you some tasty Netherlandian food?

Grant-Yes, I did notice that. Thankfully, I found your blog again. Good luck with the garden!

    Katrina-Gross. You've seen it?

Horizon-Yes, please do that. I need more traffic!

    Hope-Yes, yes I do.
