What do you think?
When I was reading and writing my Gay Manifesto, I wanted to write something to the effect that I didn't want this blog to be just about how gay I am. Some people may think that if all I blog about is my own gayness and faggot-y ways, then...it might get boring.
I try to blog about the stuff that happens in my life...but that too...is gay.
It's like...everything I do is influenced by Lady Gaga, Kesha, Celine, and Cher.
Is my blog too gay? Should I...tone down the homosexual of it all?
I have not been reading your blog for very long, but I think this is the "gayest" post I have read so far. (I wish that text could convey tone of voice, because I am totally teasing you but have to state that I am teasing you because you can't hear my tone of voice.)

I think your blog is sufficiently gay in the happy as well as homo meaning (but not in the "that's so gay" kind of way).

I think you should just blog about whatever you want to blog about, whether it is gay-related or not. Don't worry about us or what we think- blog about what you want and need to blog about. THAT is the beauty about blogging- there has to be no agenda, unless you want one. :)

ReplyDeleteYou ARE gay, so there is nothing wrong with posts on your blog being about being gay. It's part of who you are. If I talk about all the guys i'm attracted to, or dates I go on... does that make my blog too "straight"? I don't mean this to sound rude. I hope it doesn't come off that way. I love your blog and everything you have to say! Sure there is a gay undercurrent to a lot of things but it doesn't matter. :) Be who you are and to hell with everyone else. We wouldn't keep reading if we didn't like the content. :)

You're not a network executive trying to find the best lineup for your network. You're a blogger. You can write about whatever you please. So long as you're genuine we love to read whatever you post.

ReplyDeleteI love reading everything you write about. Generally your blog is fascinating. I say keep writing about whatever you want to write about - it is YOUR blog after all, and if anyone has a problem with that, they don't have to read it.

Your blog isn't about just being gay. It's an expression of who you are. Gayness is just a part of that. I think your blog is very refreshing to read.
